This is an original song I wrote for my dear mother Barbara Rigby. She loved getting together with all her granddaughters once a year for a “girl’s retreat”. On one of these little getaways, we girls secretly practiced this song, found a piano in the lobby of the hotel, and sang it to her. She loved it! It is a precious memory for me. We don’t have her here on this earth anymore, but the words ring true still. I think we all take a part of our moms into our lives. Hopefully, I’ve made her proud!
